Real Madrid won 4–2. Jude Bellingham scores his 15th goal in 16 games for Napoli, and then he sets up Joselu to seal the win. The Spanish giants finish first in their Champions League group.

Real Madrid beat Napoli 4–2 on Wednesday thanks to two late goals by 19-year-old Nico Paz and Joselu. The win put Real Madrid in first place in Champions League Group C with one round of games left.

The 14-time winners kept their perfect record and now have 15 points from five games, eight points more than the Italian champions. They are already in the round of 16.

Napoli, who are in second place with seven points, need a tie in their last game against Braga, who are in third place with four points, in order to make it to the next round.

Union Berlin is at the bottom of the table with only two points after a 1-1 draw with Braga earlier today.

Real got off to a good start, but the visitors shocked them with a quick counterattack. In the ninth minute, Giovanni Simeone scored the first goal with a close-range shot that looked like it had been saved by Andryi Lunin. Giovanni Di Lorenzo assisted Simeone.

The goal-line technology showed that the ball had just barely crossed the line, so the judge let it stand.

Real quickly got back on track. Two minutes later, Rodrygo tied the game with a beautiful shot into the top corner, and in the 22nd, Jude Bellingham scored a header to put Real ahead.

Bellingham scored his 15th goal in 16 games across all competitions for Real Madrid this season. He became the first player in the club’s history to score in all four of his European Cup games.

The Englishman has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano, Pruden Sanchez, and Ferenc Puskas combined in their first 15 games for Real Madrid. He has topped Ronaldo’s 14 goals in 42 games last season and now has more goals than any of those players combined.

For Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, “He’s spectacular getting into the box; he comes into the box like a motorcycle.”

“It’s surprising because no one thought he would adapt so quickly to this club and the football he’s playing.” Fans, teammates, and even foes are surprised by him.

In the 31st minute, Brahim Diaz had a chance to make it 2-0 for Real, but his shot just missed the target.

But Napoli scored the first goal after the break when Frank Anguissa scored from a rebound in the 47th minute to tie the game. Meanwhile, Real’s replacement Joselu missed several good chances, including a clear chance from close range in the 79th minute.

The second goal, scored by youth midfielder Paz, came from outside the box in the 84th minute and gave Real the lead again.

In the end, Joselu scored the fourth goal with a tap-in in extra time.

Carlo Ancelotti, the boss, told Movistar Plus, “It was a hard, complicated match.”

But we found the strength to win during the toughest part of the game. The last twenty minutes were great and changed the way things were going.
