For the first practice game, Inter Miami has said that they will play the El Salvador national team in San Salvador on January 19.
The club said on Thursday, “We’re excited to start going public with our preseason plans and preparations ahead of an exciting 2024 season.”
CEO and Sporting Director Chris Henderson said, “We’re excited to play the El Salvador national team. It will be a good first test for our team against the best players from the country.”
As they get ready for the new MLS season, Lionel Messi and his team will play against the Central American country at Estadio Cuscatlan.
There has been some doubt lately about Miami’s training plans. In a huge friendly match in February, Messi and his team will play against Ronaldo and Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. This was announced earlier this month.
But a few hours later, that night, Inter Miami issued a statement calling the story “false.”
It said through ESPN that Jorge Mas, the owner of the team, “has made no comments, publicly or privately, in relation to the preseason tour.”
But soon after, the MLS team changed their mind again, and they took down the message from their club website.
El Salvador, on the other hand, is ranked No. 78 by FIFA. In November, the national team played two matches against Curacao and tied both of them.
Season tickets for Inter Miami’s 2024 season have now sold out, even though fans were upset about the huge price increases earlier this year.
The news comes after the club raised prices a lot for the next season. The cheapest season ticket for 2023 now costs $884, up from $485.
Low-level seats in the Midfield Club now cost $7,650 apiece, up from $3,600 apiece last year.
X was called “f***ing disrespectful toward your loyal fans,” by one angry fan. “The price of my 2023 season ticket plan went up from $485 to $884.”
We still don’t have a real field, and the 82% price hike doesn’t match up with the better play quality.
