ο»ΏCristiano Ronaldo’s team, Al-Nassr, wants to sign David De Gea because his career at Manchester United is coming to an end.
The Spanish goalkeeper could be the next big player to move to Saudi Arabia. He could get a Β£250,000-a-week deal to play with Ronaldo, an old teammate from United.
De Gea can now sign with any team he wants, but he would still rather stay at Old Trafford if they can come to an agreement on new terms.
But the Middle East option is appealing, even though De Gea is willing to work out a deal at United even though they are fighting, which shows that it is NOT his first choice.
SunSport reported that the 32-year-old was offered better terms at Old Trafford. These terms included measures that would raise his pay based on how many games he played.
United was fed up with waiting for an answer while Erik ten Hag actively sought out a top-notch goalkeeper for the Red Devils.
They would also love to keep De Gea, who has 45 caps, because if they lost him, they would have to buy TWO new goalkeepers, which would cost a lot of money.
From 2011 to 2013, De Gea played 545 games for United and helped them win the Premier League.
Al-Nassr is one of the teams that gets money from the Saudi government. This is how they were able to sign superstar Ronaldo, 38, when he left Manchester United last season.
