The FC Barcelona has completely finalized the arrival of Vitor Roque. The information from Mundo Deportivo is decisive and indicates that the Brazilian forward will land in the capital of Catalonia on December 27, after spending the Christmas holidays in his native Brazil.

“Let’s see how it goes, it’s still early but for sure I want Vitor here at Barça as soon as possible”.

Initially, it was planned for Vitor Roque to arrive in Barcelona earlier, but a legal aspect has hindered it. Upon arrival in the city, the forward will have to be registered as an employee in the Social Security system and, therefore, will start impacting the Fair Play.

Considering that Barcelona is not very comfortable with salary space, the decision has been made to delay his arrival. He will arrive on December 27, ready to join the rest of his teammates on December 28 for the first training session after the Christmas break.

This is the plan for Barcelona to finish 2023. The players, including Vitor Roque, will join the training on December 28 and will subsequently have a short break to celebrate the New Year. However, they won’t have much time to rest as they have a match on January 4, 2024, including travel.

Barcelona has to visit Las Palmas to face the team coached by García Pimienta, and they want to be well-prepared. They will do so with Vitor Roque registered in the squad, as he can ‘absorb’ the €5 million left available in the Fair Play by Gavi due to his long-term injury.

Everything is confirmed: there is approval from Athletico Paranaense and the player himself, as the possibility of playing for Barcelona from January 2024 is stipulated in the contract.
