Before he played for Manchester United, David de Gea shared a mysterious message on social media after his old team lost again.

De Gea, 33, was fired by United boss Erik ten Hag in July after not being able to agree to a new contract with much worse terms. Next, Ten Hag bought Andre Onana from Inter Milan for £47 million. This may have been the worst move Ten Hag has made since taking over at Old Trafford.

But Onana wasn’t to blame for United’s most recent loss, a terrible 1-0 loss at home to rivals Newcastle on Saturday. As the autopsy was going on, De Gea seemed to react badly by sharing a cold face emoji on social media soon after full-time.

The Spaniard’s post has more than 87,000 likes in just nine hours. De Gea still doesn’t have a job, and rumors of a January move to Real Betis have died down since the 33-year-old turned down rich offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The fact that Ten Hag’s team has lost six of their first 14 Premier League games makes some people think that he might also be out of work soon. The Red Devils also lost to Newcastle and are out of the Carabao Cup. They will need a lot of luck to make it to the next round of the Champions League.

But the Dutchman is sure that he can do what he needs to do to keep his job. Ten Hag said after the game, “We have to make this right.” “I know we can handle it. That’s something we can do. We had a good run in the Premier League before we lost to Manchester City a few weeks ago. We need to get back to that good run.

It’s possible that Harry Maguire was the only player who did anything good in Saturday’s loss. He told his teammates to put up more of a fight. Maguire told TNT Sports, “The pace wasn’t there, and the intensity wasn’t there.” “They were much better than us.” We got better, but in the end we didn’t have enough.

Before their next home game against Bournemouth, United have just one more chance to make things right. On Wednesday, they play Chelsea at Old Trafford. After that, they have to win their Champions League game against Bayern Munich. After that, they might have to go to Anfield to play Liverpool.
