Mundo Deportivo confirmed that Barcelona will plan to evaluate personnel before meeting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

 

 

 

 

Barcelona are preparing for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain on April 10. La Blauagrana will not play this weekend as the La Liga season is suspended due to the Copa del Rey final.

 

However, despite the free La Liga schedule, Barca are still planning a practice match to test some players when they return from ιnjury . Xavi Hernandez will test three key names ahead of the match against PSG with Frenkie de Jong and Pedri returning to training this week .

Barca will evaluate Pedri’s situation before the PSG match.The pair mentioned above are expected to at least be in the squad to face PSG, but are unlikely to start without a major change in approach from Xavi. According to the latest information from Mundo Deportivo, Xavi’s main concern is Danish international Andreas Christensen, who has just returned from an Achilles ιnjury.

 

Despite returning to training later than De Jong and Pedri, Christensen’s new role as holding midfielder could see him brought back to the starting lineup if the former Chelsea star  is healthy enough.
