De Bruyne wasn’t in Manchester City’s lineup for the first game of the quarterfinal, which was a surprise. He didn’t play at all because he missed the team’s warm-up before the game.

Pep Guardiola talked about why he took out the good player before the game.

Telling TNT Sports, he said, “Vomit.” He is not well.

He also said, “I don’t know,” when asked if he could play. He was ready for the meeting, but when we got to the locker room, he started to throw up and felt sick, and he said, “I’m not ready.”

“Of course, it’s not good news, but it is what it is – another player is going to play and they are ready to play 90 minutes and everyone is going to help.”

At the end of the game, Guardiola would talk about one of City’s goalmakers in particular.

“In terms of how we play, we showed who we are in the second half,” he told TNT Sports. “It would have been hard to come back from down 2-1 in Manchester.” We scored two great goals instead, but fifteen minutes of defense in this stadium feels like forever. We’ll take 3-3.

“I told them to calm down and attack from the outside.” “Guys, it’s 45 minutes after 90 minutes,” I say. A lot of game needs to be played.
