The Man of the Match award went to a striking player for Barcelona on Sunday night, even though his team lost to Real Madrid.
Barça, of course, just got back into play a short while ago.
When Barcelona went to the Santiago Bernabéu to play their archrivals Real Madrid, the club’s home season was pretty much on the line.
But in the end, Xavi and his teammates had to give up on their unlikely dreams of keeping La Liga.
As much came as hosts Real twice came back from being down a goal to win 3-2.
A lot of Real Madrid’s stars shone that night. Lucas Vázquez, who was a surprise star, had a direct hand in all three of his team’s goals.
Although it was hinted at above, the official Man of the Match award went to a player from Barcelona’s losing team.
That player? Yamel Lamine.
On Sunday, Lamine, a wide player, had another great game. His world-class speed, touch, and dribbling skills caused Eduardo Camavinga a lot of trouble down Barça’s right side.
