Messi and Friends: Messi Reunites with Argentine Teammates as Inter Miami Deal Confirmed for July

According to a recent report, the Benfica winger is actively being pursued by David Beckham’s MLS team

Di Maria (phải) và Messi tái hợp ở CLB Inter Miami nhờ nỗ lực của ông David Beckham?

Benfica winger Angel Di Maria has already retired from the Argentina national team. He thought he wouldn’t play with Leo Messi anymore, but that may not be the case after all. According to ESPN Argentina’s Leo Paradizo, David Beckham’s Inter Miami might be trying to sign ‘Fideo’ for one last dance with Messi. But that is not all; Angel would get a chance to play alongside Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba as well. Currently, it is believed that Di Maria would end his career at Benfica, which was the first European club that gave him the chance to make the jump from South American football. The report came on Thursday, and it came from his own country.

As we’ve already stated, the plan would be to bring another attacking partner for Leo Messi, despite already having Luis Suarez playing next to him. Given all of these players veteran status, they don’t have the fitness to sustain a full season by playing every single game of the season. Di Maria’s arrival would count as the second time he could share the dressing room at club level after they were together at Paris Saint-Germain. If this transfer takes place, Di Maria wouldn’t join the team until the end of next summer’s Copa America. But only one report wasn’t enough; we needed a second confirmation, and we just got it.

According to Argentinean journalist Gaston Edul, Inter Miami has indeed started conversations with Angel Di Maria to explore this possibility. This means that ‘Fideo’ coming to Miami is within the realm of possibility and not just one report. If this happens, Leo Messi would have a real chance to get himself that ‘Last Dance’ in the best possible manner. Keep in mind that the Copa Libertadores will invite Concacaf teams again, which makes Inter Miami a no-brainer as one of the options. Especially with three of the greatest South American players of the last 20 years. Fingers crossed this happens.
