£33m Hakim Ziyech set to complete permanent free transfer away from Stamford Bridge

Hakim Ziyech is all set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer as Galatasaray decides to make his loan move permanent.

The Chelsea flop joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal last summer, and after enjoying a successful stint in Turkey, the Super Lig side has reportedly decided to make his transfer permanent by triggering an obligation-to-buy clause in the player’s deal, according to The Standard.

Despite suffering multiple injuries in the current campaign, the Morocco international has managed to perform consistently at every chance he gets. The 31-year-old appeared in 21 matches across all competitions, where he scored eight times and provided four assists.

The former Ajax player fell out of favour during Graham Potter’s stint at Stamford Bridge in the 2022–23 season and was close to completing a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January 2023; however, the deal collapsed at the last moment.
