Thiago Silva played his last match for Chelsea and had an emotional farewell.

Silva showed off his English skills by holding the microphone to speak live to the crowd. This is also the first time this defender spoke English in front of all Chelsea fans.

“I want to thank all of you, but especially you two. Marina Granovskaia and Frank Lampard. Really thank you.”

Continuing the farewell session, the Brazilian midfielder stated his wish to see his children play for Chelsea.

“My dream is to one day see my children play football here. I love you so much, and I will miss you so much. Goodbye…”

According to British media, Thiago Silva will join his hometown team Fluminense on a 2-year contract and will then end his playing career.

Thiago Silva played 152 matches and won 3 titles in 4 years with Chelsea, including the Champions League championship in the 2020/2021 season.
