The midfielder only has one year left on his contract with Chelsea and the London club certainly do not want to see him leave on a free transfer next summer.

Gallagher has not given any signs that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge. However, selling Gallagher this summer will help the Blues reduce the burden related to the Premier League’s Sustainability Rules and profits.

Chelsea set a huge price for Conor.

It is known that Aston Villa has approached Chelsea to ask to buy Gallagher. This club wants a deal to be done quickly given Tottenham’s interest.

According to the Guardian, Chelsea wants to collect a fee of 50 million pounds for Gallagher. Meanwhile, Aston Villa could attach striker Jhon Duran as part of the deal.

Chelsea considered recruiting Duran during the January transfer window. The 20-year-old, who has eight caps for Colombia, joined Aston Villa in an £18m deal from Chicago Fire in January 2023 and scored eight goals in his first full season in the Premier League.
