People who like sports or cars don’t need to be told about Cristiano Ronaldo. He is the most famous and successful professional football player in the world, and he also collects supercars with all his heart. In this new role, he’s making news again.Ronaldo’s collection of cars is almost as well-known as his baseball skills, good looks, and six-pack (technically an eight-pack). He owns the most expensive versions of cars that are on the market, as well as custom cars and very limited models. One of the most expensive and impressive fleets of cars owned by a public person is kept in his garage.

Things are about to get even better. Ronaldo went to the Ferrari offices on Monday for what looked like an official event that had been planned months in advance. He was with Andrea Agnelli, the head of the club, when he should have been training with Juventus. He won’t get into any trouble then. Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz Jr., and John Elkann, who is president of Ferrari, were among the visitors.

 

Since Ferrari talked about it on social media, it was clear that this was a business deal. A good number of hands were shaken, and autographs were signed. But who said you couldn’t do business and have fun at the same time? According to Corriere Della Serra, Ronaldo did some personal things in between business calls, like ordering a brand-new Ferrari for himself.

 

 

He is said to have bought and paid for a “super-exclusive red” Ferrari Monza SP2 racer that only people who have been invited can get. The report says that he “paid” for the new ride at the plant, which makes it sound like Ronaldo had €1.6 million ($1.93 million) in cash on him. Most likely, that wasn’t true, but it’s not impossible that he’d use a business meeting to take care of something personal.

 

If the story is true, Ronaldo will be one of a very small group of people who own the very special Monza. The Monza comes in two seating configurations: SP1 for one seat and SP2 for two seats. A lot of famous people, like racing driver Max Verstappen and star chef Gordon Ramsay, own an SP2.
