Barcelona could make a blockbuster transfer deal from Man City this summer.

Last season, Man City  set a record by becoming the first team to win 4 consecutive Premier League titles. In 6/7 recent seasons, The Citizens have reached the top of the league. That shows that Man City is still a force that is difficult to overthrow in English football.

It is unlikely that any team will be able to stop Man City in their quest to win the Premier League. However, the Premier League champions are reportedly being forced to sell one of their star players to address Financial Fair Play issues.

Specifically, Julian Alvarez wants to improve his playing time. In contrast, Man City are ready to sell the young striker this summer if Alvarez finds a suitable destination. The Citizens are demanding a transfer fee in excess of 70 million pounds for the 2022 World Cup champion.

So, Alvarez is ready to leave. However, Barcelona must be careful with financial issues. It is very likely that they will sell some of the pillars in the squad to create cash flow to recruit Alvarez. This is a quality player and this summer is an opportunity for the Camp Nou club to make a deal.
