Sad End at EURO: Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Phil Foden Dejected as England Lose to Spain in Final Minutes

Spain have officially been crowned Euro 2024 champions after an emotional victory over England in the final.

In the early morning of July 17 (Vietnam time), the Euro 2024 final took place between Spain and England.

True to the importance of the match, both teams entered the match extremely cautiously and often created fiery collisions.

However, Spain still controlled the ball more thanks to their classy midfield. However, they did not have an easy time approaching the Three Lions’ goal.

On the other hand, Gareth Southgate’s team actively played deep but still created opportunities for themselves.

The most notable incident of the first half seemed to come in the 45th minute, when Phil Foden’s shot was on target but was saved by La Roja goalkeeper Unai Simon.

After the break, Spain suddenly took the lead and opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Yamal dribbled the ball into the middle and then made a clear pass for Nico Williams to rush up the left wing, before the striker placed a tricky shot to break the deadlock in the final match.

Falling behind, the Three Lions immediately rose up to find an equalizer. Continuous pressure took place on La Roja’s field.

In the 73rd minute, England coordinated their attacks. Bellingham baited the ball for Cole Palmer to curl the ball with his left foot outside the penalty area, defeating goalkeeper Unai Simon and equalizing the score at 1-1.

After the score was level, the two teams played at a very high speed. But Spain still showed dominance in ball control and penetration into the penalty area.

In the 86th minute, Cucurella ran up the left wing and crossed for Mikel Oyarzabal to tap in from close range to score the second goal for Spain.

There was too little time left for Southgate’s team to turn the situation around. In the end, Spain beat England 2-1 after 90 minutes of official play, thereby winning the Euro championship for the fourth time, a record for the tournament.
