Nike continues to honour this model even after marking the 25th anniversary of the Nike Air Max Plus in 2023.

 

 

 

 

 

The iconic Nike Air Max Plus “Voltage Purple” colour, which was released in 2018 to commemorate its 20th anniversary, was the source of inspiration for the recently released Nike Mercurial Superfly 9 sneaker that French sensation Kylian Mbappé, a player for Paris Saint-Germain, was seen wearing during his workout earlier today.

The cleat was similar to its precursor in that it had a black TPU cage shaped like a spiderweb and a gradient purple top with bright orange highlights. The “ZM” marking on the heel of the cleat alludes to the earlier “TN” heel stamp.

 

 

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 9 FG “Voltage Purple” is anticipated to go on sale overseas on January 15, 2024, for $310 through a few carefully chosen retailers. A domestic release is planned soon.
