Lionel Messi has been spotted on a house-hunting trip in Boca Raton following his historic move to Inter Miami.

The Argentina star was accompanied by his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their eldest son Thiago, who wore an Inter Miami jersey carrying his father’s name.

Messi’s move to the United States was confirmed earlier month with a glitzy unveiling ahead of his debut, which saw the 36-year-old score a last-minute winner.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has taken over as Inter Miami captain, followed that up with two goals and an assist on his second appearance.

And it seems Messi is enjoying himself off the pitch, too. He and Antonela were all smiles as they toured a luxurious house in Boca Raton, which sits an hour north of Miami.

Messi was shown around the house, which appeared to include a golf putting green. Someone could even be seen – with club in hand – giving Messi a brief demonstration.

Messi and Antonela, who tied the knot in 2017, have three children – Thiago (10), Mateo (seven) and Ciro (five)

It wouldn’t be the family’s first property in south Florida. They already own a luxury $9million apartment which overlooks Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami.

According to reports, the World Cup winner bought the apartment in the Porsche Design Tower all the way back in 2019.

The 60-floor tower is situated between Bal Harbour and Aventura and is located 25 minutes away from Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium.

The apartment boasts a private restaurant, an outdoor lounge that faces the sea, a cinema, as well as golf and racing simulators.

Messi is expected to earn $50-60m a season after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with Inter Miami.

The Argentina international has already been followed to South Beach by former Barcelona team-mates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Luis Suarez, meanwhile, has revealed that he and Messi still ‘dream of retiring together’ – despite talks between the Uruguayan’s current club Gremio and Inter Miami breaking down.

The MLS club had hoped to reunite Suarez with Messi and Co. But talks over a deal have since fallen apart.

‘With Messi, we dream of retiring together’, Suarez told Uruguayan TV show Punto Penal.

‘It was something that we always planned when we were at Barcelona. And from one year to the next I went to Atletico and he went to PSG (Paris Saint-Germain).

‘We dreamed of it and we talked about it that after Barcelona we would go to the United States and nothing happened at the time.’

‘Now he made the decision to go there and from what you can see, he looks happy and we hope that at some point that possibility will occur.’
