Striker Christopher Nkunku scored the first goal for Chelsea under coach Enzo Maresca but Chelsea were still held to a draw by Wrexham
The match against Wrexham received much attention from Chelsea fans as this was the first time The Blues played under coach Enzo Maresca. In the first half, the former Leicester City captain used new players such as George, Guiu and Tosin.
The group of players soon showed quick integration at the new club, Chelsea easily dominated the game and soon created many clear opportunities.

In the 5th minute, captain Reece James had a perfect kick that hit the post by inches. The English defender, after a struggling season, is trying to score points with the club’s new coach.
In the following minutes, Wrexham had to constantly defend against The Blues. But what had to happen happened when Nkunku scored his first goal for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca.
From George’s shot outside the box, the ball found the French star’s feet and Nkunku did not miss this opportunity.

In the second half, Chelsea changed the entire lineup on the field when Sterling, Fofana and Chilwell were brought in to play.
The second half was more balanced than the first, Chelsea let Wrexham hold the ball more. In the 58th minute, the surprise happened when The Blues conceded a goal.
From the left wing, Revan crossed inside. Palmer rushed in and missed the ball but Bolton was there in time to finish past Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca allowed Chelsea to push up the pitch, but the London club’s attacks proved ineffective and they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
