Newly promoted Leicester are believed to have opened talks to sign Arsenal striker Reiss Nelson. Sky Sports reports the Foxes are in talks over a loan deal until next summer.

The 24-year-old is currently on Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States. Nelson is also wanted by West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace. Arsenal, on the other hand, would prefer to sell the former England Under-21 player rather than loan him out.

Arsenal are hoping to recoup between £12 and £15 million for Reiss Nelson, and if Leicester want to loan the 24-year-old in the summer of 2024, they will be required to include a buyout clause next summer.

Reiss Nelson is considered to have great potential, but with Arsenal having so many attacking stars in the squad, he is only playing a reserve role. If he joins Leicester, the English player will have the opportunity to play regularly, thereby continuing to mature.

Arsenal just had their first friendly match in the summer of 2024. Despite leading Bournemouth, the Gunners only managed a 1-1 draw.
