On the morning of August 1 , Manchester United faced Real Betis in the 2024 summer friendly matches.

Both teams started the match in an open attacking spirit. Many dangerous situations were created continuously from both sides.

In the 15th minute, after Rodri’s not-so-difficult shot, goalkeeper Tom Heaton made a mistake when he fumbled the ball, letting it bounce back before pushing it back to Rodri. The Spanish player passed it to Rosada to shoot into the MU net.

Having fallen behind, Manchester United quickly regained control of the game. In the 18th minute, the team was awarded a penalty after Diallo was fouled in the penalty area. Rashford successfully executed the penalty kick, equalizing the score 1-1.

 

Continuing the momentum, MU scored 2 more goals. In the 24th minute, Amass passed the ball accurately to Diallo. The Ivorian player finished strongly in the penalty area, raising the score to 2-1.

Just 7 minutes later, the score was raised to 3-1 for coach Ten Hag’s team. From a corner kick, Rashford passed the ball to Casemiro who finished close to the goal. This was also the final score of the first half.

Entering the second half, the match continued at a high pace. However, MU failed to take advantage of their opportunities.

In contrast, Real Betis reduced the score to 2-3 in the 61st minute. From a cross from the right wing, Diego Llorente jumped high to head the ball into the MU net. In the remaining time of the match, both teams played a tight game, with a fragile score gap of only 1 goal. However, no more goals were scored.
